Kèr Tstíhzqùs (Tstíhz /qʊs/ [reef] [lesson]) is a subtropical Town located in the Gesiēinsu Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr Tstíhzqùs is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Tstíhzqùs was founded by Alcelamorpha Owens, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Tstíhzqùs has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Kèr Tstíhzqùs receives an average of 262 cm/y (103 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Kèr Tstíhzqùs covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3124 m (10249 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Tstíhzqùs was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1262, by Alcelamorpha Owens. The establishment of Kèr Tstíhzqùs suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Tstíhzqùs is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs is buildings are speckled and packed arround broad cobblestone streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The peasent-grade have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Tstíhzqùs has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Tstíhzqùs. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Tstíhzqùs's parks.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Tstíhzqùs.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Tstíhzqùs's natural decorations nor waterways.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

While Kèr Tstíhzqùs has a public leader, the real authority is hidden from outsiders. This ruler may draw their authority from rationales unacceptable to outsiders, they may have cowed the public authority into obedience, or they may have a mutually beneficial private arrangement with the official ruler.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

The Butterfly/Moth near Kèr Tstíhzqùs are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Kèr Tstíhzqùs's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves drinking to channel Summoning energies of tier 1 via oratory performances.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Kèr Tstíhzqùs was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Kèr Tstíhzqùs lost 216 people, 219 livestock, and 48 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 47, when members of Kèr Tstíhzqùs's militia enacted an operation to eliminate a specific group of the enemy's forces. The operation was complicated by a key segment of the operation that deepened entirely on a stealth mission going perfectly. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in victory for Kèr Tstíhzqùs's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Kèr Tstíhzqùs's bards, historians, and legend keepers.

History
